This time it was the turn of: Fendace , the union of <a href="https://www.lofficiel.co.uk/fashion-week/fendi-kim-jones-aw21-runaway-photos-imagines-look" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Fendi</a> and<a href="https://www.lofficiel.co.uk/Fashion/the-versace-pre-fall-2021-collection" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> Versace</a> , two historical firms led respectively by Kim Jones , Silvia Venturini Fendi and<a href="https://www.lofficiel.co.uk/fashion-week/versace-and-the-legend-of-the-jungle-print-dress" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> Donatella Versace</a> &nbsp; that celebrate Italian fashion by exchanging roles within the framework of Milan Fashion Week .
The original codes of both firms are reinterpreted and recontextualized in new directions, driven by the same designers to express themselves authentically. The result? A fun collection that crosses the lines of the luxury conglomerates that divide them.

Inspired by a long friendship and great admiration, Fendi designers delved into the Versace archives to design womenswear and <a href="https://www.lofficiel.co.uk/man/men-fashion-elegant-attire-british-style" target="_blank" rel="noopener">menswear garments.</a> The clear starting point for the creation of these pieces was the era of the nineties at Versace , through a multigenerational perspective . In a total metamorphosis, the Versace codes are revealed to the viewer through Fendi's craftsmanship excellence, and Kim Jones and Silvia Venturini Fendi play with the idea of duality by integrating the Fendi Monogram with the Versace Greek Key Motif .

For the interpretation of Fendi , Donatella Versace explores the DNA of the brand with a more rebellious vision: the safety pins pierce the symbols of Fendi , the crystal inlays invade the classic monogram of the brand and the chainmail appropriates the lace. The garments carry a youthful punk character that characterizes Donatella . This co-written fashion story is coming exclusively to Fendi and Versace boutiques next year.
