The Made in Italy touch but chez Paris. And not only. Dior launches the collaboration with Vespa to create an exclusive scooter - and coordinated accessories - an irresistible tribute to the art of living on the road, but with style. Founded on the same year, in 1946, the Italian brand and the Parisian house now reinvent the freedom of movement and expression that characterize the two worlds and now closer than ever. The official name of the scooter will be Vespa 946 Christian Dior and will be a tribute to the myth of " La Dolce Vita" linked to the love of Christian Dior for the Italian Riviera and the Mediterranean aesthetics. Maria Grazia Chiuri, Creative Director of the Maison, commented on the collaboration: «For me, the Vespa is connected to my hometown, Rome. the Vespa is always present in some of my best memories. My husband and I used it to get around the city and go to the sea in Fregene. It is a symbol of Italianness which is closely linked to my personal life and is now part of my professional life at Dior ».
The scooter, white with golden finishes, will have as a plus the saddle decorated with the Dior Oblique motif, which also returns on the two accessories: a helmet and a top box. With also a band with the Christian Dior logo that decorates the two sides. A contamination of fashion and lifestyle codes in line with that idea that the world of fashion is now a vehicle for life experiences as well as clothing or accessories. The Vespa 946 Christian Dior will be available in a limited edition starting from 2021 in a selection of Dior boutiques all over the world together with accessories. Afterwards, the scooter can also be purchased in the Motoplex sales outlets by Piaggio.
