<p style="text-align:justify"><a href="https://www.lofficiel.co.uk/pop-culture/prince-philip-childhood-unhappy-duke"><strong>Prince Philp&#39;</strong>s</a> wake had his preparations reviewed in the midst of the pandemic, but several of his personal wishes were fulfilled - including having his coffin loaded into a Land Rover.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify"><a href="https://www.lofficiel.co.uk/pop-culture/who-will-attend-prince-philip-funeral-harry-meghan">During the funeral procession of the Duke of Edinburgh,</a> his coffin was loaded in a customized Land Rover. &quot;The car was designed and tailored to the duke&#39;s specifications,&quot; said Buckingham Palace.</p>


<p style="text-align:justify"><a href="https://www.lofficiel.co.uk/pop-culture/prince-philip-died-at-age-99">The royal family</a> had always liked the British-made vehicle, which reflected their interest in engineering and technology. A member of the public even left a toy Land Rover among the flowers and letters of condolence placed near Buckingham Palace after Philip&#39;s death.</p>


<p style="text-align:justify">Instead of the usual hearse,<a href="https://www.lofficiel.co.uk/pop-culture/prince-philips-death-all-you-want-to-know"> Philip </a>wanted his body to be taken to the Chapel of St. George in a modified Land Rover. According to the palace, he started the project with the automaker 18 years ago. Based on a Land Rover Defender TD 130, the vehicle has been modified with an open rear section based on Philip&#39;s specifications. It was also painted a dark bronze green (according to the duke&#39;s instructions), which is the same color that the British military uses for many of its Land Rovers.</p>
