Netflix: the 12 movies and series at binge-watcher in august 2019

Series, films, documentaries ... In August 2019, Netflix updates its catalog with much awaited novelties, from season 2 of "Mindhunter", through the new season of "Demoiselles du Phones", to the cult film of Alfred Hitchcock "Psychosis." Here are the 12 novelties to binge-watcher from August 1st on the platform.

Dear White People season 3

Created by Justin Simien , director of the film, Dear White People takes us to the campus of the University of Winchester when an earthquake shakes the institution when Sam White ( Logan Browning ) denounces the injustices that frequently occur in his broadcast of radio. After making a sensation at festivals following his appearance at Sundance in 2014, this little independent film has become one of Netflix's hits. Season 3 is coming on August 2nd.

Otherhood

With cast Patricia Arquette , Angela Bassett and Felicity Huffman , this American comedy directed by Cindy Chupack and produced by Netflix is inspired by William Sutcliffe's novel "Who makes you happy." He follows three suburban moms who come unexpectedly to their sons' homes in New York. Expected release on the platform on August 2nd.

Falling Inn Love

Gabriela, a city girl, participates in the contest "Win An Inn." She finds herself owning a ruined house that needs repair. The young woman must collaborate with the charming but detestable local entrepreneur. The professional partnership will gradually turn into a beginning of love story ... A rom-com can not be more cliché but promises to increase the ratings of its release on August 2.

Coco

Two years after its release, Coco , one of the best animated films of Pixar, arrives on Netflix. Multi-award winning seven awards including two Oscars, a BAFTA and a Golden Globe, the feature film, which follows the young Miguel in search of his idol Ernesto de la Cruz, arrives August 4 on Netflix.

The Demoiselles of the phone season 4

While the season 3 Demoiselles phone ended, leaving many questions suspended, season 4 finally arrives on August 9 on Netflix. Will Lidia finally find her daughter? Is Francisco really dead? So many questions that the new season should finally answer.

Glow season 3

Mindhunter season 2

Two years after the release of the series on the streaming platform, Mindhunter and his FBI agents Holden Ford and Bill Trench are officially back for a season 2 on August 16. This time, in addition to Ed Kemper, other famous serial killers will be at the center of this new season (some episodes are once again driven by the excellent David Fincher ), as Wayne Williams and especially Charles Manson. The latter is embodied by the Australian actor Damon Herriman who already camps this dark character in the film Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood . The serial killer Dennis Rader aka BTK will also be present.

8 Mile

Released in 2003 and awarded an Ocar for the best song, 8 Mile , the film retracing the course of Eminem to become a rapper, arrives August 16 on Netflix.

Hannibal

Directed by Ridley Scott , the first part of the cult saga Hannibal arrives on August 16th on the platform. Casting: Anthony Hopkins , in the role of cannibal, Julianne Moore , or Gary Oldman .

Psychosis

Psychose , the most cult horror film of all time, directed by Alfred Hitchcock finally arrives on Netflix on August 16th. A classic to see and review to perfect its filmographic culture.

American Gangster

Ridlet Scott hit again. From August 16, his American Gangster film with Russel Crowe , Denzel Whasington , and Chiwetel Ejiofor joined the catalog of the platform.
