For Carla Fracci, dance represented a past time, a relief valve to try to face lightly a particular historical context such as that of the Second World War. So she began to dance, trivially to brighten the evenings of her family, and those of work to which her father (an ATM tram driver) used to take her. Carla Fracci was born into a very humble Milanese family, her father Luigi Fracci was working as an ATM tram driver, and her mother Rocca Santina was a worker. The humble origins did not at all affect the career of the woman who today we consider one of the greatest dancers of all time and above all esteemed and known all over the world. Carla Fracci in fact, after her studies at the Scala in Milan, will start working with some foreign dance companies including: London Festival Ballet, Sadler&#39;s Wells Ballet (today the well-known Royal Ballet) and the Royal Swedish Ballet. One of the moments that absolutely consecrated the grace, elegance and skill of Carla Fracci, will see the Italian dancer in 1967 as a guest at the American Ballet Theater. Hence, a climb of countless successes that will see Carla Fracci interpret very important roles including Giselle, La Sylphide, Giulietta, Francesca da Rimini and Euripides&#39; Medea.
