The 79th BAFTA Film Awards 2026 ceremony officially presented its awards at the Royal Festival Hall in London.

Dominating the 2026 BAFTAs is undoubtedly &quot;A Battle After Another&quot; , which collects six of the most significant awards, including Best Film and Best Director. A result, that of Paul Thomas Anderson &#39;s film, which reflects the work&#39;s ability to consistently assert itself on different levels: that of the author&#39;s vision, that of technical mastery, that of interpretative depth. Five awards instead go to &quot;Sinners,&quot; which convinces for its constructive rigor, for the care with which it orchestrates the screenplay and soundtrack, rather than for a narrative presence capable of catalyzing the jury&#39;s attention in the central categories. On the international front, &quot;Hamnet - In the Name of the Son&quot; establishes itself as the benchmark British title, recognized as much for its aesthetic refinement as for the quality of the performances. &quot;Sentimental Value&quot; follows a different path, managing to cross the boundaries of the category dedicated to foreign-language cinema and establish itself in a broader comparison. In the interpretative categories, what emerges most clearly is the distribution of awards, free from concentrations or predictable logic. Among the most notable are the award for Best Actress to Jessie Buckley for her touching performance in &quot;Hamnet&quot; and the outsider Robert Aramayo , awarded as Best Actor for &quot;I Swear&quot; .
