I can&#39;t say that I am enthusiastic about the look of the main character of the series and many stylistic solutions, but I am impressed by the undoubted mastery with which the eclectic images of American Emily Cooper, who arrived in Paris, are created, how light and sparkling this cocktail of diverse aesthetics is. And it&#39;s no wonder, because the stylist of the series is my favorite costume designer Patrick Fields (&quot;Sex and the City&quot;, &quot;Satan in Prada Brunches&quot;). Specialists will be especially pleased with the comparison of the effective approaches of Kerry Bradshow and Emily Cooper, as well as how well the influence of the American and European mentality in the choice of clothing has been shown. But what surprised me the most was the statistics: after the release of the series, the demand for Emilia-style clothing on the Internet increased from 64 to 342 percent. This is a really unthinkable indicator during a pandemic.

They managed to show the main character&#39;s feelings through her own and those around her clothes. The director&#39;s 37-minute story about a writer returning from his hometown in New York is inspired by a screening of Valentino Couture &#39;s spring 2018 collection. If you have not seen it yet, be sure to watch - the picturesque journey through the waves of memory will bring pleasure to every fashion lover.

For several seasons, the series has been attracting viewers not only with an intense story, but also with the main character&#39;s amazing costumes. Vilanela is a mercenary assassin who loves sophisticated, extravagant characters. The third season is dominated by a bohemian retro tone, a lot of attention is paid to vintage clothing. Sometimes it seems that you are watching a fashion show - Vilanela appears in the frame in a Comme des Gar&ccedil;ons tuxedo with a transparent Simone Rocha top, an unforgettable The Vampire&#39;s Wife dress, and an elegant Dice Kayek trouser suit with an accented shoulder line, but the cherry on the cake is Charlotte Knowles suit with a long boa. The spirit of the 60s, 70s and 80s can be felt in all costumes.

The contradictions have been very successfully played out using clothes, and it is immediately clear to the viewer which camp the character belongs to. Conservative views are reflected in the A silhouette skirt, closed blouses and decent dresses with inconspicuous accessories, but the new trends - blouses and dresses with psychedelic prints, mini, denim, suede, fur and aviator glasses. It is a real aesthetic pleasure.

Both the historical context and the costumes of the series are far from reality, but in general the viewer gets a correct idea of the era. The main goal of the costume designer was not to copy the costumes of that time, but to show the character of Catherine II. During the message, the stylistics of the emperor&#39;s characters change, she becomes more and more powerful and imposing. It is interesting that the colors of Katrina&#39;s dresses always contrast with the surrounding clothes - it shows that she is a stranger in this world. Only once, wanting to find common ground with the courtiers, the queen dances at the ball in a costume of similar color.

The costume designer has chosen her Ann Demeulemeester silk jacket - very elegant, but in the same protective color as the windbreaker in her previous life. Lena&#39;s wardrobe is one of the most interesting: if the other friends show up in beautiful but quite classic evening dresses, her rather complex character is revealed by the stylish clothes of Dries Van Noten , No21 , Tom Ford and Ralph Lauren.

You&#39;ve probably read Daphne di Morje&#39;s &quot;Rebecca&quot; or seen Hitchcock&#39;s 1940 screenplay with Lawrence Olivier and Joan Fontein, and you know that costumes play an important role in novels and movies. This year&#39;s new screening is an amazingly beautiful and aesthetic film story. It takes place in the 1930s, at a time when women&#39;s wardrobes were slowly but purposefully conquered by trousers. During the film, the style of the main character also changes - at first we see her in a fleece suit suitable for a small companion, but, falling in love with a British aristocrat, she begins to wear dresses with a floral pattern. Upon arrival at the mysterious Manderley Castle, the protagonist returns to the coarse cloth costumes, but in the final appears in triumphant gilded armor .

It is a very fresh film by Robert Zemekis starring the wonderful Anna Hetavey. The costumes are borrowed from images of 60&#39;s style icons: modern capes, waist-fitting costumes, asymmetrical cases and gorgeous hats - this is a reference to Audrey Hepburn&#39;s image in the musical &quot;Amysanta Face&quot; (1957). The film is interesting not only with the characters&#39; wardrobe, but also with unusual make-up, wigs and shoes. Anna Hetaveja had to wear an imitation of a naked paur and custom-made shoes in the role of a witch to give the impression that she did not have toes, as is the book by Rolla Dahl, after which the film was made.
