The star of&nbsp;Euphoria&nbsp;and&nbsp;Spiderman No Way Home&nbsp;will miss the most anticipated red carpet of the year for the third year in a row.

 <a href="https://www.lofficiel.co.uk/pop-culture/zendaya-anya-taylor-joy-fashion-icon-cfda-fashion-awards" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Zendaya</a>&nbsp;, the undisputed queen of&nbsp;<a href="https://www.lofficiel.co.uk/fashion/fuschia-color-pink-red-carpet-fashion-trend-grammys-oscars">red&nbsp;carpets</a>, will not participate in the most glamorous red carpet of the year.&nbsp;<a href="https://www.lofficiel.co.uk/beauty/zendayas-new-haircut-debut-dune-premiere" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The 25-year-old</a>&nbsp;has declared that she will not be in New York for the&nbsp;<a href="https://www.lofficiel.co.uk/fashion/met-gala-and-accused-of-insensitivity-for-theme-choice-in-2022" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Met Gala 2022</a>. The reason? The star, known for her role as&nbsp;Rue in&nbsp;<a href="https://www.lofficiel.co.uk/film-tv/euphoria-season-two-zendaya-jacob-elordi">Euphoria</a>,&nbsp;and for the films&nbsp;Dune&nbsp;and&nbsp;Spiderman: No Way Home, will be instead on the set of her next film&nbsp;Challengers, directed by&nbsp;<a href="https://www.lofficiel.co.uk/film-tv/timothee-chalamet-dune-french-dispatch-release-goldenboy" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Luca Guadagnino.</a>
 The last time she attended the Met was in 2019, for&nbsp;<a href="https://www.lofficiel.co.uk/fashion/met-gala-2019-the-most-extravagant-red-carpet-looks-of-the-stars" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Camp: Notes on Fashion</a>&nbsp;edition. She was dressed by Tommy Hilfiger and presented herself as a beautifully modern but edgy Cinderella. Her first Met Gala, she walked the carpet as a Joan of Arc 2.0 in Versace for the 2018 Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination theme.&nbsp;In 2017, she donned a&nbsp;<a href="https://www.lofficiel.co.uk/fashion-week/dolce-gabbana-fall-winter-2021-runaway-lookbook-photos-imagines" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Dolce &amp; Gabbana</a>&nbsp;gown and in 2016 a&nbsp;<a href="https://www.lofficiel.co.uk/fashion/michael-kors-first-children-line-jet-set-girls-spring-2022" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Michael Kors</a>&nbsp;glimmering golden ensemble for the theme,&nbsp;Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology,&nbsp;which is re-proposed for the 2022 event.
 This year's theme, which has&nbsp;<a href="https://www.lofficiel.co.uk/fashion/met-gala-and-accused-of-insensitivity-for-theme-choice-in-2022" target="_blank" rel="noopener">caused some controversy</a>, has been baptized as&nbsp;Gilded Glamor!&nbsp;Characterized by opulence, wealth and gold we can only imagine the pieces stylists and stars alike are conjuring for the red carpet.&nbsp;Even though the red carpet star won't be there, we couldn't help but imagine what her dress for the 2022 Met Gala Gilded Glamor might look like.
