In the heart of the West Coast, at the Salk Institute in San Diego, Nicolas Ghesqui&egrave;re stages his latest fashion show for this historic French Maison.

Less than a mile from the Pacific Ocean,&nbsp;the&nbsp;<a href="https://www.lofficiel.co.uk/fashion/hoyeon-jung-louis-vuitton-new-global-maison-ambassador" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Louis Vuitton</a>&nbsp;Cruise 2023 collection made its debut amidst the brutalist architectures of the Salk Institute for Biological Studies designed by Louis I. Kahn in San Diego, California. In a scenario that could only be completed with the setting sun, Nicolas Ghesqui&egrave;re emphasized a new type of woman: a warrior of the future who seemed to have stepped out of one of the films set in a parallel reality.
The&nbsp;show opened&nbsp;with&nbsp;<a href="https://www.instagram.com/lousandtheyakuza/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Lous and the Yakuza</a>, a well-known and faithful face to the Maison, wearing a stately dress expertly composed of voluminous flounces and sculptural draperies. Looks with important silhouettes followed, like square bibs with metallic applications, foulard dresses that create all-round intersections, crop tops, and cross bras worn with disheveled skirts.&nbsp;Stiffened austere hoods, shield tops, and fringed jackets set with concave and convex structures.&nbsp;Particular attention went to the materials: PVC, vinyls, glittering leathers, mirrored plates,&nbsp;and reflective lurex to the point of appearing metallic.
