The Spanish luxury house celebrated its NYC store opening with high-profile guests, like Maggie Gyllenhaal and Frank Ocean.  

Stop the rush: Loewe&#39;s first New York store has finally opened. Located on Greene Street in SoHo, this shop-slash-art-space is bright and eclectic, displaying a variety of Loewe products as well as work from eight different artists. The new Loewe store carries men&#39;s and women&#39;s ready-to-wear, accessories and shoes.&nbsp;

Loewe was founded in Spain in 1846. Since 2013, the house&nbsp;has been under the creative direction of <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/jw-anderson-spring-2020">Jonathan Anderson</a>, whose focus has been on culture and craft. The <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion-week/loewe-spring-2020">Spring 2020</a> show during Paris Fashion Week blew the fashion world away with its expert&nbsp;construction, taking inspiration from 16th and 17th-century silhouettes. Some of the VIP guests rocked looks from the collection while celebrating the new opening last Tuesday night, and it will be exciting to see the pieces hanging&nbsp;alongside the iconic leather goods and modern craft in Loewe&#39;s first New York store once the collection hits the market.&nbsp;

The&nbsp;launch celebration consisted of drinks at the store, followed by a party at the Sinclair-Fletcher Mansion on the Upper East Side. The soir&eacute;e attracted a wide range of guests from fashion and entertainment world, from <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/charlie-plummer-looking-for-alaska">Charlie Plummer</a> to <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/kaia-gerber-style-essentials-2019">Kaia Gerber</a> to Megan Rapinoe.

Launching just after <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/save-the-date/art-basel-miami-celebrity-photos-2019">Art Basel</a>, the new Loewe store opening helped to highlight, once again, the power of mixing fashion and art. Last week, the Loewe Foundation presented its fifth iteration of the Chance Encounters exhibition series in Miami&#39;s Design District neighborhood, displaying the brand&#39;s continued commitment to supporting the arts.&nbsp;
