The memorial at the Los Angeles’ Staples Center was a moving affair.

Beyonc&eacute; opened the service for Kobe and Gianna Bryant&rsquo;s memorial on Monday with &ldquo;XO&rdquo; and &ldquo;Halo&rdquo;, reportedly Bryant&rsquo;s favourite songs from the music artist.&nbsp;

The heartwarming performance was backed with a large choir and orchestra and was performed in front of a crowd of 20,000 at the Los Angeles Staples Centre, the home of the Los Angeles Lakers, which Bryant played for throughout his 20-year NBA career.

&ldquo;I&rsquo;m here because I love Kobe, and this was one of his favourite songs,&rdquo; said Beyonc&eacute;, before beginning the song &ldquo;XO&rdquo;. Beyonce was dressed in a gold suit and purple jeweled rings, LA lakers colours, with purple nails that spelled out Kobe and Gigi&rsquo;s names.

She then continued with a rendition of Halo, where she appeared to be holding back tears.&nbsp;

Beyonc&eacute; was introduced as a &ldquo;very close friend of the Bryant family&rdquo; and appeared to be singing directly to Vanessa Bryant, the widow of Bryant and mother to Gigi, during much of the performance.The pair were among the nine people who were killed on January 26 in a helicopter crash.&nbsp;

The ceremony also featured performances by other powerful and notable queen of vocals, Alicia Keys and Christina Aguilera, making for the&nbsp;most beautiful memorial service. It also included speeches from Jimmy Kimmel, who emceed the event,&nbsp;Micheal Jordan and Vanessa Bryant.
