When Made in Sicily and Italian craftsmanship challenge internationalization
Reading time 2 minutes

WHITE has always been the promoter of new brands and at the same time supporter of already consolidated brands, supporting the expansion and distribution phase. It does so by looking at the quality of the proposals of small and medium-sized companies, with a view to internationalizing the craftsmanship and sustainability of Italian and international companies. In fact, Massimiliano Bizzi -FOunder of WHITE- maintains that low cost is collapsing since it is no longer sustainable and that Made in Italy and Italian savoir faire will make a difference in production models.

This year WHITE collaborates with the Sicilian Region - Department of Productive Activities, presenting 41 Sicilian brands with handcrafted DNA at the Tortona Fashion District in Milan. "The collaboration with WHITE is part of the wider strategy of the Sicilian Region which aims to support companies in successfully tackling the challenge of internationalization in an increasingly competitive and selective market which, however, appreciates Made in Italy and in particular Made in Sicily " says Girolamo Turano , Councilor for Productive Activities of the Sicilian Region. Among the Sicilian clothing brands present at the fair, Cettina Bucca stands out. The designer, who has been in the industry for 25 years, is inspired by the fairy tales of the Grim brothers, spirituality and esotericism. With his team he creates fabulously printed dresses, jackets and velvet shoes that demonstrate the brand's great tailoring. As regards accessories, the Vitussi brand offers artistic bags with sculptural handles in the shape of a tap and bags covered with lawn. In the jewelry section, Giuliana di Franco stands out for her production faithful to the cultural and naturalistic symbols of Sicily, such as carts, lemons and Moro's heads.
