Valentino Daydream

Daydream is an inclusion motto, the perfect title for the event held in China.

Pierpaolo Piccioli brings Valentino to Beijing with the Daydream event, two days dedicated to the opening of the Sanlitun store and above all the Haute Couture show.
The watchword of the "journey" is plural, with an unmistakably Italian spirit and the savoir-faire of Haute Couture as a defining touch. The Maison's creative director aims to reaffirm the brand's roots, values and creativity as they are today. Beauty is the common thread of the event: from the location, the Summer Palace in Beijing, to the dream dresses, handmade by the atelier tailors. The inspiration of the collection comes from the Italian Renaissance and merges with the Chinese tradition: the volumes are exaggerated, the fabrics deliberately opulent, the colors range from pink to red, passing through gold and emerald green. Details are essential to bring the audience into the dream: skirts, hats and dresses are sprinkled with maxi bows, flowers and precious embroidery.
The influence of Chinese culture is released in all its power through the location and its details, magically falling also in some of the show's exits, like a delicate tribute by Pierpaolo Piccioli to the place that hosts them.
The meeting between China and Valentino knows of magic, a fantasy with open eyes that erases cultural barriers and those between reality and desire.
