New designs appear in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the founder, Gaby Aghion.

<p>Since appearing in fashion in 2017, Gabriela Hearst has always had her aesthetic desires compared to <strong>Chloe&#39;s</strong> heritage. Until, at the end of last year, the French brand hired the young Uruguayan designer as its new creative director - a combination that does not have much to go wrong for its consumers. With two months to make this winter 2021 collection, Gabriela presented a mix of what she believes to be Chloe&#39;s heritage to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the founder, Gaby Aghion, who died in 2014. In the virtual parade, recorded through the streets of Saint Germain, in Paris, the idea is clear of a comfortable winter; practically based on knitting, with huge ponchos and long dresses, next to the flowing models that are one of the brand&#39;s classics. But what most brings Chlo&eacute; to the 21st century is Gabriela&#39;s right view on sustainability actions. To make her point, the stylist placed a vintage bag on the catwalk decorated with scraps of fabrics from past collections - the same ones with which she built a large patchwork coat, a way of &ldquo;paying tribute to the creative directors who came before me&rdquo;, as she said in interviews. A number of these were made in partnership with Sheltersuit, an NGO that produces clothes for people on the streets. Gabriela is smart and knows that, despite her privileged origin as a family of farmers in the Uruguayan pampas, the luxury industry needs to look at the outside world to survive in these new times.</p>
