10 years of documentaries

What's more intriguing and exhilarating than a world where everything, in appearance, is beautiful and perfect? If with the advent of social networks, fashion has become more visible and ubiquitous in everyday life, it has also become the center of attention. Between 2010 and 2020, the number of documentaries in the world of fashion and creators has exploded, from Bill Cunningham New York (2010) to Wonderboy  (2019), allowing the public to enter through the back door and discover the backstage of a milieu synonymous with pure emotions.

10 years of new talent

New houses and new designers have stood out in this last decade. We are obviously thinking of Olivier Rousteing, who in 2010, took the reins of the Balmain house by succeeding in improving the image of the aging house. It follows Jacquemus, prodigy of the creation and favorites of the late Karl LagerfeldMarine Serre who decided to make his creations the standard-bearer of alarmist messages. Yeezy who have caused riots and made the heyday of sneakers addict. As well as new-born brands such as Vetements and Off -White. A new creation is born within the years 2010, a creation resulting from the " digital native " which knows how to perfectly communicate and create the bestowal. A creation that is sometimes debated and allows people to express themselves. A creation that has broken all the codes applied to the seam.


10 years of influencers

They have changed the face of the world, we barely exaggerate. 10 years ago, influencers were still simple bloggers with little power. They were not yet a marketing tool used by brands in search of fame. Since then, Chiara Ferragni , Jeanne Damas , Aimee Song , Alice Barbier & Js Roques , Bryan Boy and Camille Charriere have been born ... The list is endless. The it-girls and it-boys of yesterday have become the influencers of today, but one question is on everyone's lips, what does the next decade hold for us? Influencers are running out of stream little by little, we wonder what concept or profession 2.0 will come to destroy the hegemony of the insta-game... The anser is in 2020.


10 years of awards

The last 10 years have been marked by a women's revolution. Two women have been appointed at the head of two major fashion houses: Clare Waight Keller at Givenchy and Maria Grazia Chiuri at Dior , it is quite exceptional to be relieved, the world of creation, under male hegemony, rocking more and more towards parity, proof that mentalities evolve.  For the others, the houses have put on new heads to rejuvenate and revive the activity of the houses: Demna Gvasalia at Balenciaga , Alessandro Michele at Gucci , Hedi Slimane for Celine , John Galliano signing his discreet return to the industry at Maison Margiela or Virgil Abloh at Louis Vuitton . A veritable upheaval of the creative landscape that was able to bear fruit, giving birth to collections borrowing a new and revolutionary genre of creativity.


10 years of disappearances

This pivotal period saw the disappearance of a large number of talents and great designers, thus ending an era and a certain idea of fashion. It started in 2010 with Alexander Mcqueen, when England lost its best hope, and it ended up in 2019 with the most striking disappearance, Karl Lagerfeld. In the meantime, we have also presenced the passing of other famed talents such as Sonia Rykiel , Hubert de Givenchy , Azzedine Alaïa and André Courrèges.
