In an interview with CNN, the real commentator Kate Williams reveals that only an informal conversation takes place.

&ldquo;Of course they have so much respect for the Queen that if she says, &#39;I really don&#39;t like that name,&#39; they will definitely take that into account,&rdquo; explains Williams.

Repeated names? Why does it happen?

You may have already noticed that royal family names are often traditional and are repeated over several generations. While honoring a loved one is one of the reasons real babies can be given similar names to other family members like Lilibet Diana, there is also an issue of hierarchy.

&ldquo;The further down the line of succession, the more likely you are to have a more unique or nontraditional name,&rdquo; reveals Carolyn Harris, author of the book &ldquo;Raising Royalty: 1,000 Years of Royal Parenting&rdquo; for Vogue Australia.

Did you know that Princes William and Harry have 4 names? William Arthur Philip Louis and Henry Charles Albert David respectively. Queen Elizabeth is 3, Elizabeth Alexandra Mary. As are the sons of the Dukes of Cambridge. Already King Edward VIII, believe me, had 7 names, called Edward Albert Christian George Andrew Patrick David.

It is very common for members of the royal family to have more than one name, which has become a tradition.

And the last names?

You may never have noticed, but we don&#39;t usually call royals by their first and last names. When quoting the monarch, it is through the title &ldquo;Queen Elizabeth&rdquo;, her eldest son is &ldquo;Prince Charles&rdquo; or &ldquo;Prince of Wales&rdquo;. The reason? Most members of the royal family do not have a surname!

&ldquo;Members of the royal family can be known by the name of the royal house and by the surname, which are not always the same&rdquo; reveals the website of the British royal family. &quot;And often they don&#39;t use any surnames.&quot;

The first royal surname was dated 1917. However, the last update to the surname rules in the monarchy came in 1960, when it was declared &ldquo;that the descendants of the Queen, except those with the style of Royal Highness and the title of Prince/Princess, or female offspring who married, would bear the name Mountbatten-Windsor&rdquo;.

One of the family members who have this last name is Archie, son of Meghan and Harry. His full name is Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.
