For the Spring / Summer 2020 Alessandro Dell'Acqua breaks the typical bonha allure of Rocha by adding pop tones. In a grim age "I wanted to bet on the positive power of color and spread joy", says the creative director. It then starts with the neon yellow for wide silk shirts, shirt dresses and couture dresses in 50 'shapes, which clashes with equally bright combinations in shades of fiery red. It continues with a clash of electric blue and burgundy, lime green and candy pink. A show that exudes freshness and high tailoring, in which appear more daywear garments such as Saharan jackets, shirts with military pockets and soft leather bermuda shorts. The guiding accessory is décolleté shoes covered in gathered silk with pearls applied by midi heel, versatile across all looks. The evening looks are covered with sparkling lurex, where even here the color stands out on hippy shirt-dress models in the deluxe version. Rochas couture lines dry and simplify, the materials are precious but lightly treated and without excessive construction. The volumes soften, thanks to the use of crumpled silks, velvets and silks. The brocades are lightened: they become graphics but without a logo. Only the "R" of Rochas (or R as royal?) Appears printed in trompe l'oeil. There is but hardly seen. True luxury is in the details.
