Johnny Depp had his contract terminated with the 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them 3' franchise following the loss of the defamation lawsuit against a British tabloid. The actor received R $ 54.3 million for a few hours of work on the film sets and will be permanently replaced.

The actor that will take his place will be Mads Mikkelsen who will play the wizard Grindelwald in the saga written by JK Rowling . Mads is 54 years old, is the star of the series 'Hannibal' and will be the third actor to play the villain of the franchise. In the first film, Colin Farrell played the character while the wizard was in disguise.

Mikkelsen has a career with several hits like 'Rogue One: A Star Wars Story', 'Doctor Strange' and '007: Casino Royale'. On instagram, Depp said that he agreed to abandon the role and apparently the decision was friendly.
